New article: 'After Zionism' reviewed

Electronic Intifada, 15th August 2012

After Zionism: One State for Israel and Palestine is a new collection of essays edited by Antony Loewenstein and Ahmed Moor. It is important to start by saying that this is an important and timely book, a significant contribution to the literature on the one-state/two-state debate and a useful reader on the main arguments and strands of support for one-statism.
However, the book falls into the same, perhaps unavoidable, pitfall as many edited volumes, of a slight sense of incoherency and bolted-togetherness, and connected to this there are some significant gaps.

How can a “people” who see themselves as superior with divine souls and who look at the goyim as inferior slaves created only to serve the “Jews” EVER be trusted to accept to live as equals with others?

“In a redemptive state the Jewish People will reassume their more natural role as the head, leading the world to a new age”

“The natural inclination of the Jewish People is to elevate themselves to the level of mind and leadership, which naturally uplifts the entire world”

“Israel is associated with the three upper sefirot of the intellect. Though the head must always be connected to, and at times, draw inspiration and guidance from the emotions, its main task and responsibility is to lead”

How can we expect supremacists who believe in WARS of AGGRESSION to ever treat us as equals???? A king should not wage other wars before a milchemet mitzvah. What is considered as milchemet mitzvah? The war against the seven nations who occupied Eretz Yisrael, the war against Amalek, and a war fought to assist Israel from an enemy which attacks them.

Afterwards, he may wage a milchemet hareshut, i.e. a war fought with other nations in order to expand the borders of Israel or magnify its greatness and reputation.

Such supremacist condescending ideology has its roots in the “sacred” books of Talmud, Halacha and Tanya, all of which explicitly divides people into two categories: Jews (refined ethical humans with divine souls) and non-Jews (corrupt sub-humans with animal souls). The Tanya explicitly declares that unlike the Jewish souls, “The souls of the nations of the world, however, emanate from the other, unclean kelipot which contain no good whatever”

If we delude ourselves by the mirage of “one day they will accept us as equals” we would be committing the most foolish mistake.

70 percent of Israelis believe the Jews are the ‘Chosen People.’

The Jewish peoples of “Israel” who came under the banner of Zionism, are occupiers, and what is worse an occupier who has proven to be incapable of gradual humanization and pacific integration in his new environment.

In other words, the Jewish-Israeli occupier of Palestine has not gained any right, not created the legal and human framework which would have naturally evolved toward integration and unification with the indigenous population.

Destruction of biblical villages, destruction of environment, annihilation of a whole indigenous people by means of insane, sociopathic cruelty, breach of every Law in the books, breach of every acceptable standard of human cohabitation, does not create the natural conditions to slowly integrate within a foreign land. Therefor, the Jewish occupiers never had, and never gained the right to anything in Palestine, and certainly not the right to decide the fate of Palestinians.

Reversely, Palestinians have the ominous RIGHT to bring their tormentor to Justice, under a legal framework of their own choice as long as it responds to international standards, as mentioned before. In other words, the fate of the Jewish occupiers will be in the hands of their victims.

The outlays of such system are straight forward, and fair: Anyone who served in the IDF, anyone who served the Jewish state apparatus, anyone who contributed to the “Israeli” state ‘s operations and strategy, anyone who transferred significant funds to “Israel”, shall be brought to Justice, if and only if prosecution is the Palestinians’ sovereign decision.

Palestinians enjoy an astounding sense of Humanity, as History demonstrate, that ex-occupiers will be prosecuted on a case-by-case basis, allowing them to demonstrate eventual innocence, or to have reformed themselves, or to present Palestinian witnesses to vouch for his/her good behavior during the occupation. On this basis, Palestinians will allow legal status of residence or citizenship, to anyone who deserves it, hence the assurances are strong that some ex-Israelis will stay, but again, this is the sovereign decision of the Palestinians, and no one else’s.

I trust that future Palestinian Immigration Policy will be human, i.e. decisions will be taken irrespective of race or religion, just like any normal sovereign State, in stark contrast with the soon to be defunct racist and discriminatory “israeli” policies where “Jews only” could apply!

The catastrophic fiasco that is Palestine’s occupation, is punctuated by an endless string of ambiguous agreements and statements, which are the individual keys used to enable systemic land-grab and conduct slow genocidal attacks against the indigenous population, while hypnotizing the international public opinion to nod in acceptance for “facts on the ground”

Can people who are keen to absolve the Jewish-Zionist-occupiers of all their previous and continuous crimes, by pushing for the delusional “equal rights” solution explain to us how do they intend to achieve their goals of “equality” with insanely supremacists, massively armed time-proven psychopaths?

How do they suggest to facilitate the establishing of Justice and restitution, giving Palestinians the 94% of their STOLEN LAND BACK?

Can some one please assure me that the supremacist racist zionist will happily and peacefully agree to give up their privileges, their guns, their control and above all give us our STOLEN land back??

Is a HUNDRED years not enough yet to demonstrate that those invaders have neither the intention nor the ability to integrate and be “equal”??

    Dear Sarah

Thank you for publishing my comment, I am just writing again to notify you that I tried to comment on your article appearing on Electronic Intifida, and as usual, my comments there do not see the light.

Yet, the same EI website which censors my comments, allows comments by Zionists, “soft”-zionists and even kabbalists (whose beliefs are founded on the notion of supremacy of the Jews)
