I do things with words, mainly English and Arabic

Quoted in… National Geographic China

I was chuffed at the end of last year to find that Voltaire.net had bothered to translate at least one of my articles into both French and Spanish. I’ve seen bits of articles I’ve written on Palestine translated into Arabic. Now I can add Chinese to the list. Tracy Chu, of National Geographic Traveler’s China edition, asked for comment on Palestine as a destination for women travellers. There’s something slightly weird about seeing things you’ve written translated into a script you wouldn’t even have the first idea how to go about reading (my Arabic may be diabolical but at least I know how to go about reading the language, even if I’m crap at it). Nice cover, though.
