'Walk the Proud Land'

Killing time in Unley shopping centre today, I came across the DVD of a 1956 Western called ‘Walk the Proud Land.’
The blurb on the back described it as:

“The true and imortal [sic] story of Indian Agent John Philip Clum… who defied Geronimo’s legions of hate with the strength of his love for a woman… to turn back the tide of primitive savagery!” (punctuation original)

YOU CAN’T SAY THAT! was my initial reaction. Well, obviously you can. Rampant political correctness on my part, of course.
The real story, needless to say, was a little more complex, and is still hotly debated.
